This poster, created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Repertory Orchestra, is just lovely. The letterpress creates great texture, and I love how the swirls around the edges of the violin echo the cuts in the instrument itself.

Spotted on core77, these clever Ikea ads by Jung von Matt made me 1) remember how much I love poring over floor plans in the home section of the newspaper when I was younger and 2) want to go to Ikea immediately! Pretty effective, I'd say.
